This the third ship to carry the name HMS Amphitrite was a sixth
rate, 28-gun, ship. Originally HMS Pomona, Built by Raymond of Northam, launched 22-Sep-1778, 120ft 6in long, 33ft wide and of 594 tons builders measurement. Renamed HMS Pomona 14-Jul-1795. Broken up Aug-1811.
