HMS Algerine (1942) MS  (8th)

    
This the eighth ship to carry the name HMS Algerine was the name ship of a class of minesweepers.

Built by Harland & Wolff, laid down 15-Mar-1941, launched 22-Jan-1941 and completed 12-Mar-1942.

Torpedoed and sunk 15-Nov-1942 by Italian submarine Ascianghi off Bougie.

Won the Battle Honour: North Africa 1942.
