Talisman Class (1916) DD

When WW1 began Turkey had ordered a number of large destroyers designed in Britain by Armstrong-Vickers. These were in response to Russia having ordered a number of large destroyers designed in Germany.

While some were to have been built in Turkey four were laid down in Britain.

Following the outbreak of war these were taken over by Britain and became the Talisman Class.
