Ca Class (1944) DD

Ordered 16-Feb-1942 as the 11th Emergency Flotilla, they were a repeat of the Z Class ships.

On completion they joined the 7th Destroyer Flotilla with the Home Fleet. Serving mainly on Arctic convoy escort duty and screening offensive carrier sweeps along the Norwegian Coast.

After the war in Europe ended they went to the East Indies, returning 1946 to go into reserve. In the mid-1950's the flotilla was rebuilt and modernised for ASW duties. Continuing in this until the late 1960's.

All were broken up in the 1960's and 70's except for Cavalier which continues as a Museum Ship.
