HMS Racoon (1888) CC  (5th)

     
This the fifth ship to carry the name HMS Racoon was a Torpedo Cruiser.

Built at Devonport, laid down 01-Feb-1886, launched 06-May-1887 and completed 1888.

On completion went into reserve at Devonport 1889-91. Then she went to the Cape Station 1891-97, and returned to the UK for refit 1897.

To the East Indies Station 1898-1900 and Cape Station 1900-01.

Returned to the UK and went into reserve at Sheerness 1901.

Sold 1905.
