6th Rate 28-gun

This the second ship to carry the name HMS Niobe was a sixth rate, 28-gun, ship.

Built at Devonport Dockyard, launched 18-Sep-1849, 140ft long, 42ft wide and of 1,051 tons builders measurement. Armed with 2 x 8in and 26 x 32pdr guns.

Sold 09-Jul-1862 to the Prussian Navy.
