HMS Nereide (1945) SL  (4th)

    
This the fourth ship to carry the name HMS Nereide was a Modified Black Swan (1942), escort vessel (sloop).

Built at Chatham Dockyard, laid down 15-Feb-1943, launched 29-Jan-1944 and completed 03-Sep-1945.

As she was completed after the end of WW2, she went to the South Atlantic Station late 1946 until 1954. Then went to the America and West Indies Station for a short time before returning to the UK Mid 1954 to go into reserve.

She remained in reserve until scheduled for disposal and arrived at Bo'ness for breaking up 18-May-1958.
