HMS Glowworm (1906) TB  (1st)

    
This the first ship to carry the name HMS Glowworm was a torpedo boat.

Built by Thornycroft of Chiswick, launched 20-Dec-1906, 166ft 6in long, 17ft 6in wide and displacing 255 tons. Armed with 2 x 12pdr guns and 3 x torpedo tubes.

Designed as a coastal destroyer but re-designated a torpedo boat before being launched.

 Renamed TB.7 1906.

Sold 09-May-1921.
