This the second ship to carry the name HMS Engadine was an aircraft transport.

Originally an incomplete cargo ship under construction for the Clan Line by W Denny. Taken over,   completed as an aircraft transport, 487ft 9in x, 63ft x 28ft 6in and displacing 10,700 tons. Armed with 2 x 4in 2 x 2pdr and 12 x 20mm guns, and able to carry 40 aircraft.

Transferred to the Ministry of War Transport 06-Jul-1945.

Sold 1946 and renamed Clan Buchanan.

Won the Battle Honour: Atlantic 1943.
