This the first ship to carry the name HMS Charlestown was a sixth rate, 28-gun, ship.

Originally American (Boston), captured 12-May-1780 at Charlestown, 114ft long, 32ft wide and of 514 tons builders measurement.

Sold 24-Apr-1783.
