HMS Active (1911) CC  (9th)

    
This the ninth ship to carry the name HMS Active was a Scout Cruiser.

Built at Pembroke Dock, laid down 27-Oct-1910, launched 14-Mar-1911, completed Dec-1911.

On completion joined the 2nd Destroyer Flotilla (H Class) at Harwich 1914, then the Harwich Force 1914.. Joined the Grand Fleet 1915-16. 4th Destroyer Flotilla at Portsmouth 1916-17. Based at Queenstown 1917-18 then went to the Mediterranean 1918.

Returned to the UK and went into reserve 1919. 

Sold 21-Apr-1920 and broken in Norway..

Won the Battle Honour: Jutland 1916.
